Aluminum strip is obtained by rolling aluminum ingots. The most widely applied alloys include 1060, 1100, 3004, 3003 and 5052. Different alloys of aluminum strip cover varied application scopes.
1060 aluminum strip has strong corrosion resistance and excellent forming property. As 1000 series aluminum alloy, it’s of weaker hardness than alloys of other series. Equipment for the chemical industry is its main application. 1100 strip, also of excellent anti-rust and forming properties, displays higher strength than 1060, but still not strong enough for some components. It’s usually used as equipment for chemical and food products, containers, machined parts, deep-drawing or flowing forming utensils, welding parts, heat inter-changers, printing boards, labels and reflective materials etc. 3004 aluminum strip serves as raw materials for aluminum cans, chemical containers, machined parts, building boards, cable pipes, drainage pipes and lighting parts etc. 3003 strip is usually applied to products requiring good forming ability, high anti-corrosion property and satisfying welding performance. With higher strength than 1000 series aluminum alloy, it covers a wider application, including tanks and grooves for vehicles, pressure tanks, storage devices, heat transfers, chemical equipment, plane oil tanks, oil tubes, reflective boards, kitchen equipment, inner tank of washing machines, bolts, welding wire etc. 5052 strip has good forming property, rust resistance and fatigue strength, and can be processed into oil tubes, sheet metal parts for vehicles and ships, lamp and instrument stands and hardware etc.
